Happy New Year

Well here we are in 2010.  A lot has traspired since my site launch on March of 2009.  I've learned a lot, and made a bunch of new DList friends.  I'm happy and proud to say that that DList forum is up to 60 members.  (Thanks Christy - you rock).   We've had DListers on the front page, in treasuries, and most of all really doing what they do best, helping each other and shining on.

I'm taking this slow time, after the holidays to re-evalutate my shop, buy some nice gemstones and work on getting my shop to the point of regular sales. I had a lot of fun over the black friday-cyber monday week, but now it's time to get back to putting in time and effort to improve my shop.

Happy New Year to you all and I wish you much success in the 2010 year!  And... as I've still not made it to the Etsy front page... I trudge on and hold my DList flag high.  Maybe this year will be the year!

So, what are your Etsy New Year resolutions?  hmmmm???

  1. hmm...somehow this posted to Nov...I'll try again!

My new year's resolution is to actually do some craft shows...which requires me finding time to set aside on the weekend to do it (time can be hard to come by!) and to settle my nerves/not fear rejection and contact some local stores about selling my work in them.

Go luck to you in 2010, and to all the D-listers!! Yay D-listers!!!!

  2. I'm going to try to get into some more high end Brick and Mortar stores. Maybe like museum stores.

Also gotta figure out how to make into a website.

Thanks D-listers!! Never would have made it here without y'all

  3. Yes, I too need to get over my fear of rejection and hit the streets to sell to local vendors.

And Chrisl, I'm a web designer by day, so if you need any help/advice with a website, just let me know.

  4. What are the D-List criteria? I haven't sold one piece of original art on Etsy, does that count??

  5. Jay, there really is no criteria for the D-Listers. It's more of a tounge in cheek term for those of us who are just getting started or are not having much success. It's really open to anyone willing to contribute via support and info. I can tell you, this group has helped me boost my sales and keep the faith.

  6. I need to get out there more and I also need to start making some more jewelry!

  7. I'd like to improve my photos, and work on making some of the new designs that still exist only in my notebook.

Thank you for commenting on my blog. Please be considerate and kind... other than that... let 'er rip.
